Synchronous linear motors LM
Linear motors with pulling force in the range of 150 up to 200 N are designed for the operating as a part of widely controllable (regulable) fast (high-performance) electrical drives of feed mechanisms of CNC cutting machine tools. Motors also can be used in laser cutting machines, EDM etc. without using of intermediate driving gears.
Motor of LM series (linear symmetric electrical motor) consists of the armature with windings (coils) (primary part) and two magnetic stripes (secondary part).
The stator consists of permanent high-energy magnets (NdFeB), stacked on the steel plate. Small air gap between the armature and magnetic stripe (0.6 ìì ) is provided by the linear slide way bearings. There is a minor attraction between the armature and magnetic stripe, i. å . light load on the linear guides, and as a result – maximal life time of guides, high dynamic performance. The force is transmitted immediately through the air gap, i. å . there is no power transmission. This provides high accuracy parameters of motors – acceleration and speed, as well as reliability. |
